We know life is hard. Growing up in this modern world faces many challenges - bills, rent career, eternal global crisis... But what if we told you perhaps you don’t need to grow-up? That there’s a whole world of people out there just like you: Reluctant Adults - barely holding it together, slightly imperfect and still scratching their heads about life.
An anti-brand created by a collective of self-confessed reluctant adults.
Coming from a background in fashion & design, we wanted to create easy-going products that carry a sense of apathy, resigning yourself to life, but with a hopeful glimmer of positivity deep down. We take the mundane, romanticise it a little, and provide a low-pressure way to wear fashion that speaks of the reluctant attitude.

Our product creation spans three continents.
The Reluctant brand is concepted in Singapore by a small team of friends (inc tailor & garment technologist, Don). Ideas are bounced across to England and artworked by Lucy (a graphic fashion designer & illustrator). Our pieces come to life with the help of our trusted manufacturers in China, using bespoke blanks and heavyweight organic cotton.
